Friends for a Cure

HOW WE RELAY:

We Relay as a team of friends and family members, walking the track "relay style" throughoutRelay. We transfer our team's pink-ribbon PEZ baton as different "legs" walk for Friends for a Cure. We camp out overnight and enjoy the community feel of the Relay For Life of the Wissahickon Valley.

Throughout the year, our team does many things to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, including sponsoring a Trivia Night in January, Laps for Life at Maple Manor Swim Club on Labor Day weekend, selling baked goods and lemonade.

WHY WE RELAY
We Relay because we know so many who have been diagnosed with this awful disease, including several of our own FFAC team members. We raise money for the American Cancer Society to help provide services to cancer patients and to fund research to find a cure!

Join us in the fight against cancer by joining a Relay Team or donating to a team member! Or come support us at Relay June 1-2, 2018 at Upper Dublin High School.

Together in the Fight,

Stacey and Wendy (Co-captains of Friends for a Cure)

When Communities Come Together

The money raised through Relay For Life events helps realize the American Cancer Society's mission to save lives, celebrate life, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

Donations are used to fund life-saving cancer research, patient support services, prevention and education information, and detection and treatment programs. Here's how the money raised last year is helping make a difference.

$406 million

Funding potentially life-saving cancer research grants.

1.2+ million

Calls and chats from patients/caregivers seeking info and support.

456 thousand

Nights of free lodging provided to patients at Hope Lodge®.
