Ohio Hockey Fights Back!

The Ohio University Hockey team, alumni, and fans are excited to host the second edition of a weekend series of games on February 22-23, 2013 between the current Ohio Hockey team and the American Cancer Society Ice Ghosts. The Ice Ghost team is made up of former Ohio Hockey stars who used to call Bird Arena home!

The idea for this event came from the unfortunate news that Ohio Hockey mom, Becky Fuhs, Mother of Jim; c/o 2008 and Jared; c/o 2012, was diagnosed with stage four Colon Cancer.  Coach Morris and the team decided to host a weekend of games to honor Becky and raise money for Cancer research.  It was a special weekend for everyone involved and it was decided that this would become an annual event.

On June 24, 2012, Becky lost her battle with Cancer.  One of the great joys of her life was traveling to Bird Arena to watch the Bobcats play which is why we are continuing the fight to honor not only her, but everyone in the Bobcat family who has been affected by this terrible disease.

Please join Ohio Hockey in it's continued fight by making a donation or coming to the games on February 22nd and 23rd, where a portion of the ticket sales will also be donated.

Help make a difference by supporting the American Cancer Society’s mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
