3 months to the day before my 21st birthday my mother, Colleen Marie McGrath McDevitt, lost her epic battle with Lung & Esophageal Cancer.
8 years later I find myself days from turning 29 and wanting to do something big for my last year of my 20s.
When you're a young girl thinking about your 20s and 30s you picture yourself buying your wedding dress with your mom or your mom being there when you have your first child. I won't ever be able to do those things but that doesn't mean by raising this money, we together, can help in the fight against cancer, create more birthdays, and more moments for mothers and daughters alike.
Over the next 365 days, I ask those who visit this page to donate what you can. $10 a day will add up to my goal of $3,650. I know we can meet that but I have a stronger feeling we can exceed that.
Your generous donations will not go unnoticed. For every donation received you will be entered in to win your own Birthday Bash Basket complete with party hats, birthday candles and a Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake of your choosing from me.
Let's end Cancer and create more memories and more birthdays.

I lost my mother to lung cancer 2 months ago, yesterday! When she got diagnosed, she moved in with me and my husband and we had alot of great time together. I tried to keep her as healthy as possible and in the end I know that all of her wishes were honored.
I miss her.
