Please join us at our 6th annual Coaches vs. Cancer Kickin’ Cancer Dinner & Auction on April 16th for a fun night benefiting the American Cancer Society’s life-saving mission!
Coaches vs. Cancer Dinner & Auction has raised over $500,000 since 2013 in partnership with U of I athletics. We are excited about this year’s causal Western theme, including our new venue, Gordyville USA in Gifford. The evening will be hosted by University of Illinois Coaches: Brad Underwood, Nancy Fahey, Dan Hartleb, and Mike Small. This event will feature a VIP tailgate, silent & live auction with lots of sports “experiences”, live entertainment, a presentation from the coaches and many other entertaining activities!
ABOUT COACHES VS. CANCER
The Coaches vs Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. This initiative leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs. Since 1993, coaches have raised nearly $110 million for the American Cancer Society.
ABOUT THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
Our mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer!
Our vision is a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer. Our purpose is to achieve it.
Whether it’s providing emotional support, the latest cancer information, or a home away from home when treatment is far away, we’re there when you need us- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
With an investment of more than $4.5 billion since 1946, and $150 million in 2015, the Society is the largest private, nonprofit source of cancer research funds in the United States. The success of the American Cancer Society research program is exemplified by the fact that 47 Society- funded researchers have gone on to win a Nobel Prize. With your support, we will save even more lives than ever before. Together, we are stronger than cancer.
