We are excited to announce a change for the 2017 Relay; the Albany and El Cerrito Relays have merged!  Our new Relay will serve Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Kensington, and Richmond.

The new Event Leadership Team is working to finalize the new event name, date, location, and duration.  If you are interested in joining the Event Leadership Team or being a part of this exciting change please email our Community Manager Vincent  at

Over the next few months we will be working to combine our resources into one website, one facebook, and one amazing event.  The new website should be available next week, but will still need to be updated to reflect all of our community changes.  Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to make the 2017 Relay the best one yet.

Pizza Guys

For the third year in a row, Pizza Guys will be supporting the American Cancer Society to help save more lives from breast cancer! In the first two years of this partnership, Pizza Guys has already raised over $70,000, and the company has set a goal of raising an additional $50,000 this October!

For anyone that orders a Slice of Hope Big Guy X-large one topping pizza for $14.99 from October 1 – October 31, Pizza Guys will donate $1 of their purchase to the American Cancer Society. Should anyone order a large pizza, 10 cents of their purchase will benefit the Society. All large pizzas will be sold in pink boxes to promote the Slice of Hope campaign.

Food4Less Fundraiser

There’s a new way that you can help the American Cancer Society save lives! The Society is partnering with the Ralphs / Food 4 Less / FoodcoRewards program to provide customers an opportunity to shop and give back. All you have to do is sign up. By signing up for Rewards, not only do you have the opportunity to give back to the American Cancer Society, but you also sign up to receive discounts on groceries & gas! Sign up for Food 4 Less Rewards and under the Community link choose American Cancer Society - California Division # 82154 as your charity of choice.

Relay California Challenge

Relay For Life of California is once again conducting their popular Relay California Challenge. This challenge rewards Relayers that hit the ground running with their fundraising for the 2017 Relay season. All Relay participants that raise over $250 between September 1st and December 17th will receive a “Relay California” baseball cut shirt. (Donations must be posted online before the cutoff date.)

Your 2017 Event Leadership Team is already starting to plan next years event.  One of the big changes coming to the 2017 season is a brand new website!  Your log in will be the same, but it will be a new url and a new website designs.  Due to the many changes coming in 2017, it will take the new Event Leadership Team time to get organized and learn the new website and email systems before they reach out to you with next years event date and kick-off information.  Please be patient during this transition and be ready to Relay next year!
