Bagged goodies available:  The Relay For Life team Lan's Lappers has chocolates, candies, yogurt covered raisins, the biggest malted milk balls you've ever seen, and nuts, available for purchase at Watauga Building Supply.  They are from Teri Lynn Company and prices range from $6 to $11.

Bowling:  The Relay For Life team, Joyce's Memory Walkers and Boone Bowling Center will sponsor their 12th annual bowling team event, Strike For Life, on Sunday, June 23rd.  Squads may choose to bowl from 2-4 p.m. or 4-6 p.m..  There will be an entry fee of $25 per person which covers 2 games of Scotch Doubles, shoe rental, food and drinks.  This year's event will be in honor of Betty Hayes.  Proceeds will directly benefit the Watauga County American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.  For more information call: Larry Hayes at 273-1903, Denise Stahl 773-9756, or Deborah Kirksey 964-1800.

The journey to end cancer starts with a single step. The American Cancer Society invites you to take that step with us by joining the global Relay For Life movement. When you walk to end cancer at a Relay event, it's your opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones lost, but also to raise awareness about what we can do to stay well from cancer and raise money to help fuel the world's largest walk to end cancer.
