Sell Ads for this year's Programs!
This year, we plan to have programs available for our guests at Relay. But we need to fill them!
We will be including information about teams, Relay, ACS, and sponsors, and to cover the costs we need to sell ads. This is where we need you!
For $25, a business can purchase a business card sized ad in the program. Alternatively, businesses or individuals can purchase a memorial or support ad for the same price. If your team sells the ad, the sales count toward your team goal!
Bring your ads and money to turn in at the Relay Meeting on April 26th. These ads MUST be turned in by that date in order to be included in the program.
Additionally, a commemorative keepsake program, with pictures, amounts raised, and stories about Relay events will be available for sale after Relay.
This year's theme reflects all of the holidays, seasons, and celebrations we all share and want to continue sharing with those we love.
Each team can choose a favorite season, holiday, or celebration and base decorations and costumes around that idea.
Whether you like winter or summer, Christmas or Valentine's Day, or just love birthday parties, we all want everyone to have the chance to experience more of these celebrations.
It’s a simple fact: CANCER SUCKS! If you’re asking what you can do to help then you have come to the right place. The only enemy cancer has is money - money that will be used to fund the research necessary to find new treatments and cures and hopefully eradicate the disease completely. Every dollar raised puts us closer to our goal. Recently, I had the honor of hearing two of these researchers speak, one from UAB and the other from Vanderbilt. Both impressed me with their excitement and dedication to finding a cure for cancer. Both of them thanked the ACS for their support and let us know that we are making a difference with the monies raised during Relay For Life.
The people of Limestone County have shown me many times their compassion and determination to help those in their community. I have had the privilege and pleasure to work with many dedicated, hard-working people. The past committee members consistently excel in their chosen positions and are happy to return year after year. New committee members bring new ideas and enthusiasm that is always welcome. Team Captains and their team members work hard all year long to raise money towards our goal.
I would like to thank all of our returning committee members, team captains, team members and sponsors. We have many exciting plans for the upcoming year, but we can’t do it without help. We are hoping to increase our committee this year and hope to also form sub-committees. If you want to help but don’t feel you have the time, please still contact me. We can find something for everyone to do.
In closing, I would like to thank Debbie Rutherford for all her hard work and dedication as my co- chair for 2011. She will be greatly missed, but I know she will enjoy every minute of being closer to her children and grandchildren. I would also like to thank Brandi Abbott for agreeing to be my co-chair for 2012. Brandi comes to us from Habitat for Humanity, and I know she will be a tremendous help.
Please contact me by email: CarolMorrisLCA@gmail.com, I will be happy to reply by email or call you, just let me know the best times to reach you.
