The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

2012 KICKOFF EVENT- JANUARY 21st

11:00am-2:00pm, Brunswick Recreation Center

All team captains, members, family, friends, survivors, and caregivers are welcome to attend this year's relay kickoff!

CHILI COOKOFF- Come taste and vote for Brunswick's best chili! $5 sample all you can and receive 1 vote! Additional votes $1 each for People's Choice winner. Survivors are free to attend!

Any teams who would like to advertise your fundraisers, bring a flyer or printout for our board! TEAM STEP BY STEP will be drawing for their Amish Quilt Raffle. Quilt is on display at Brunswick Rec Center. $10/ticket. $930 value- Queen/King bed size. Only 200 tickets being sold!!!

Looking for Chili Cookers!! Anyone who would like to participate as a chili cooker, please email Tom Huff at thuff.relay@gmail.com. Sternos will be provided. Need final list by Jan. 10th!

Arrangements will be made to donate any leftover chili to the Heart Space Community Church.

Club Relay- Congrats Brunswick!

In 2011, we made it to the distinguished group of the top 50 relays in Ohio!

Special congrats to teams Step by Step and St. Ambrose who were recognized at the anual summit for $10,000+!

Final Total for 2011: $96,408 ! WOW!

FIGHT BACK through research!
This year, select Relay events in our community are offering the unique opportunity to participate first-hand in a landmark new study, the Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3).The American Cancer Society will be enrolling people into CPS-3, a long-term study that will help researchers better identify the lifestyle, environmental, and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer. Please spread the word and visit the Cancer Prevention Study-3 website for more information about how to participate in research today for a cancer free tomorrow.
