Our 2012 Honored Survivor

 Esther Fabian is our 2012 Maing Strides Against Breast Cancer.  She is an inspiration fellow survivors, to The American Cancer Society and our community.  Esther serves as the Associate Vice President of Creative and Branding Services at The University of Toledo.  Her story, as she tells it below, explains her breast cancer journey and shares a message of hope and progress. Please join Esther at our 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and take a minute to listen to her story as told at Stroll For Strides--a night out for survivors and friends.

My Story of Hope

When I was diagnosed, I knew I would have a harder time mentally than physically. I’m the type of person who just can’t sit still. Even though I felt so weak during treatment, I walked 40 miles a month and didn’t take time off from work. Getting up in the morning and having goals to accomplish gave me strength.
