The Luminaria Ceremony is the opportunity for people to come together to remember loved ones lost to cancer and honor those who have won their battle. Teams compete for a $500 Jackpot! 

Up to 2 games will be played at monthly Team Meetings with the winner of each game advancing to the "Winner's Circle".  These teams will then compete on Event Day to try and win a $500 jackpot! Click here to see the upcoming schedule of Teams signed up to play the game and here to get a copy of the rules of the game.

  • WEATHER ALERT - In the event our monthly meetings need to be cancelled because of weather, a notice will be posted on the front page of our website and, when possible, an email will be sent out to everyone with a current email address on file. If you do not use email or the computer, please contact the ACS office at 724-834-9081, or call Mary Ann Urban at 724-537-8620 (Home) or 724-875-0315 (cell) or Don Heiple at 724-537-0836 to see if the meeting has been cancelled.

THIS MONTH'S RELAY SPIRIT POINT CHALLENGE ~ EARN EXTRA SPIRIT POINTS!!

Spirit Points Challenge for March:

  • Register your team online between the 2/2nd and before the 3/2nd meeting & earn 25 extra points!

  • Turn in Survivor Registration Forms for Survivor Celebration at the 3/2nd meeting ~ 5 points each

  • Turn in Caregiver Registration Forms at the 3/2nd meeting ~ 5 points each

  • Turn in Participant Waiver forms for team members not registered online at the 3/2nd meeting ~ 25 points

  • Bring your completed Fundraising Thermometer to the 3/2nd meeting and earn 25 points

  • Turn in a Corporate Sponsorship between 2/2nd and by 2/26th & earn 50 extra points.

Spirit Points your team can earn by participating in the March 20th Spring Event: 

  • For attending the event ~ 25 points for each team member & guest

  • For each ticket sold ~ 10 points each

  • To the Team that sells the most tickets ~ 50 extra points

  • To the Team that sells the most tickets ~ 50 extra points

  • To the Team that sells the winning Wii door prize ticket ~ 100 extra points

  • For each Dessert Auction entry ~ 25 points

  • For a Basket Auction donation ~ 25 points

  • For volunteering at the event ( per team member) ~ 25 points

  • For the donation of a roaster of food ~ 200 points

  • For decorating a food station with a holdiay theme ~ 200 points 

  • For food donations smaller than a roaster ~ 100 points

"SILVERBALL MANIA PINBALL MACHINE RAFFLE" -- The Kennametal Team is sponsoring a raffle on a classic pinball machine from 1980, Bally Silverball Mania, donated by Dave Ondrey and valued at $1,000!  Tickets are 1 for $1.00, 6 for $5.00and 14 for $10.00.  Winner will be selected on June 17th after 1:00 pm. See attached flyer for a list of team members to contact for tickets and to view photos of the pinball machine.  View additional details and flyer...

"CROP FOR A CAUSE" - Team Lori is hosting a "Crop for a Cause" on April 23, 2010 from 5 to 11 pm at the Delmont Fire Hall.  Creative Memories consultant Kathy Stewart will be at the crop to provide basic scrapbooking supplies for sale.  A free Make and Take will be provided for all!  Snacks and beverages are included.  Register by April 17th by completing the registration form and mailing the form and a check or money order for $10 to Letty Henry, PO Box 33, Forbes Road, PA 15633. "BUILDING COMMUNITY BODEEZ DAY" -- Team Building Bodeez is celebrating their 2nd Anniversary with a Fitness-a-Thon to benefit Relay at Building Bodeez, 154 Pandora Road, Derry, PA on April 24th from 9 am to 12 pm!  Activities will include a Zumba-Thon, Aeroba-a-Thon and a SPIN-a-Thon.  Registration is $15 & includes prizes, raffles, food/beverage & event t-shirt. "'TIL DEATH DO US PART: LATE NITE CATECHISM 3" - Team Greater Latrobe School District is teaming up with the Latrobe-Unity Parks & Recreation to host this latest class to be unveiled in this sinfully funny series on Saturday, Apritl 24th at 7:15 pm at Huber Hall on Alexandria Street in Latrobe!  Sister is now offering up hilarious lessons on the Sacraments of marriage and Last Rites, including her own wacky version of the Newlywed game!  Tickets are $30 each and are on sale at the Latrobe -Unity Parks and Recreation office at 724-537-4331.  View additional details 

"MISS-TER RELAY PAGEANT"  -- Team Chars Stars of Hope is sponsoring the Miss-ter Relay Pageant on Event day again this year.  Guys...this is your chance to dress like a beauty queen and strut your stuff collecting "cash for the cause"!
