	The Luminaria Ceremony is the opportunity for people to come together to remember loved ones lost to cancer and honor those who have won their battle. Welcome to the 2010 Relay season!

This year’s 2010 Relay For Life of Central Chester County theme is going to be a “Sweet Sixteen” birthday celebration. Our committee felt that this theme was appropriate because in addition to our relay celebrating our “Sweet Sixteen”, our 16th year of participating in Relay, the American Cancer Society has started a new campaign in which they are labeling themselves the official sponsor of birthdays. When you do the kind of work that we do, you realize how special a birthday can be: a celebration of life, a marker of progress. With the American Cancer Society, we are working to create a world with more birthdays .where cancer never steals another year from anyone’s life.

We continue our quest to save more birthdays taken by cancer this year at our "Sweet Sixteen” birthday party for our 2010 Relay. This year the event will take place at Downingtown West High School on May 22nd and 23rd, from 10am to10 am. Our fundraising goal for the event is $315,000. We won’t be able to reach this mark without the hard work and enthusiasm of all of you. There are many different ways to become involved with Relay For Life, including, forming or participating on a team, being a sponsor, attending our 2010 birthday party event as a survivor or caregiver, or simply sharing a donation. We hope that you will take part in this wonderful celebration and join us as we fight back against cancer.
