Dedicate a Luminaria Survivor Information and Registration

The Luminaria Ceremony is the opportunity for people to come together to remember loved ones lost to cancer and honor those who have won their battle. This is one of the most moving parts of the event that you will not want to miss. Honor or remember someone at Relay For Life with a luminaria. Learn More

STRIKE OUT CANCER KICK OFF

bowlingShine up those bowling balls and air out those shoes because it’s time to Remember, Fight Back and Celebrate when you help

 STRIKE OUT CANCER!!

When: Saturday January 23rd
Where: Royal Family Bowling, 430 Remount Road, Front Royal
Time: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

$25 per person with a 4 person team (6 max). There will be space for 18 teams. DOWNLOAD CURRENT ENTRY FORM.

A bake sale, silent auction and t-shirts sales will also be held.

We are looking for bowling teams (they don't have to be Relay members), bake sale goods and silent auction items. Teams will receive money for any item they sell at the Silent Auction. If any of your team members gets a Strike receive 100 Spirit Points. Please contact Cathy Santmyers at catdon6494@yahoo.com for sign-up, silent auction, or if you are able to donate some baked goods.

RELAY COOKBOOK- SECOND EDITION  SUBMISSIONS NEEDED

  We need Recipes…LOTS of Recipes.

We've had so many requests for another Relay for Life Cookbook that we're putting a second edition together. If you submitted a Recipe in the previous edition, please do not repeat it.  We need 650 recipes, and each person will only be allowed to enter two recipes. Read page 9 of the January newsletter for details on how to submit recipes. The deadline for entry is January 25th. Please tell your family and friends, and provide them with the login information.

KELLY'S SWEETHEART TEA

sweetheart All survivors and their caregivers are cordially invited to attend the Third Annual Kelly's Sweetheart Tea to be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from noon to 2 p.m at the Front Royal Country Club.

Send Tabitha Bradley one sentence why you Relay. She will then select some to put in future issues of the newsletter. If yours is chosen you will earn your team 20 Team Spirit Points. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Team, Individual, Survivor, and Caregiver registration are now open. Team captains are encouraged sign up, start your team, and register thoroughly and completely.

Team Members are then invited to log-on to the website, sign up, and join your team.

When you are prompted, be sure to use your username and password from 2009.  If you have forgotten these, please contact Claudia Pfeiffer at cppfeiffer@hotmail.com to receive this information:

Please note that due to regulation changes, there is no longer a cash/check payment option for on-line  registration this year. Please see the Accountant at the next team meeting to register, if you are unable to sign up online.

Why Early Register?

Early registration will get your team spirit points! Also there are more perks to registering your team early; you will get to choose your camp site in the order that you register.  If discrepancies arise when choosing campsites, the final say will be that of the co-chairs.

Announcing the 2010 Relay theme...colors...  This year's theme was voted on at the September steering committee meeting. Each team will draw a color and focus on heightening public awareness about the associated cancer into their campsite decorations.
