Dedicate a Luminaria Survivor Information and Registration

The Luminaria Ceremony is the opportunity for people to come together to remember loved ones lost to cancer and honor those who have won their battle. This is one of the most moving parts of the event that you will not want to miss. Honor or remember someone at Relay For Life with a luminaria. Learn More

Survivors are the reason we Relay. Survivors make up a group of nearly 11 million strong who are finding their way through the cancer experience and fighting back against the disease. At Relay For Life, Survivors are our guests of honor. Learn More

WHY I RELAY
I relay for my father and for the hope that no child has to say goodbye to their parent.

RELAYER OF THE WEEK

Mark Herzlich

MARK HERZLICH
Last spring, BC’s star linebacker Mark Herzlich was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a malignant tumor often found in bone or soft tissue.  He fought a long, difficult battle these past several months, underwent chemotherapy, and announced in early October that he was 99.9% cancer free.  Mark has been doing an AMAZING job raising awareness about Relay For Life, attracting over 1,500 members to his group on Facebook and raising an incredible $2,399.00 for his team, Herznation.  Keep up the awesome work, Mark!

Beat Cancer Tee

Boston College is selling Beat Cancer t-shirts in honor of football player Mark Herzlich.  Mark was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, and in order to support his fight against cancer, BC designed these t-shirts.  Profits from every shirt sold will be donated to the American Cancer Society in support of Ewing's Sarcoma research.  It's a great shirt for a great cause...do you own one yet?  Click here to buy yours today!

Did you buy a Luminaria bag in honor of a cancer survivor or in memory of a loved one?  Send in a picture of the person for our slideshow, which will be playing during the Luminaria ceremony at this year's Relay For Life.  Please send your name, the name of the person you are honoring, and an attachment of his or her picture in e-mail to bcrelayluminaria@gmail.com.
