The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event that mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and raise money for the fight against cancer. Weakley County was recently recognized for their three different Relays representing different communities within the county. Relay and the American Cancer Society are important to the residents of Weakley County and they strive to make sure their community events are memorable. Home to the largest team in the state, it is only natural that Weakley County is #6 in the nation for the 30,000-34,999 population raising $5.81 per person. Accepting a plaque of recognition from County Mayor Patrick Houston is Katrina Cobb of Weakley West Relay For Life. Looking on are Sandy Bennett of Weakley East and Jeff Rial of Weakley Southwest.
