Relay For Life Kick Off party held in Fernley Community Center Friday 22nd was full of enthusiasm and emotion.  Personal stories told with wonderful insight and humor by guest speaker Kyle Shafer and Mayor Goodman, told of caution, awareness and most of all the ability to beat cancer with a positive attitude.  Of the 85 people in attendance peppered throughout this crowd were strong and courageous survivors.  It was fund raising plethora with all the teams tables full of wonderful ideas to bring about funding for Relay For Life.  In fact 3 new teams signed up that night, and Pioneer Crossing became a Gold Sponsor to the delight of the crowd and Relay For Life board. 

Fernley High choir students sang a harmonious tribute to over the rainbow, and the Relay For Life board members put on a lively skit giving Dorothy from Oz a much bigger enemy to fight . . .Cancer!  If any other businesses in the Fernley area would like to make a difference in the lives of many, all they need to do is create a Relay For Life Team!  It's fun and a great way to be involved with the community. We are now accepting your generous donation of new or gently used handbags and wallets of any size.  Fernley Chiropractic Relay for Life Team will be hosting a night of wine, appetizers and fundraising, and auction in March 2010. ALL proceeds will go to Fernley Relay for Life.
