Dedicate a Luminaria Survivor Information and Registration

The Luminaria Ceremony is the opportunity for people to come together to remember loved ones lost to cancer and honor those who have won their battle. This is one of the most moving parts of the event that you will not want to miss. Honor or remember someone at Relay For Life with a luminaria. Learn More

Survivors are the reason we Relay. Survivors make up a group of nearly 11 million strong who are finding their way through the cancer experience and fighting back against the disease. At Relay For Life, Survivors are our guests of honor. Learn More

Each event is being challenged to send 10,000 emails (each email equals one click) by May 31. The goal is 1-Million clicks for Florida. Winner will be awarded a Relay banner! 
 
REVISED: Set-up Volunteers Needed
 
We desperately need volunteers to assist with setting up and taking down chairs and tables.  Please let us know at the next Team Party if you can help. (We no longer need vehicles to transport them).

SURVIVOR FORMS AND LUMINARIA FORMS
 
Please make sure you have Survivor forms and Luminaria forms available at your specific team's fundraising events.  You can download forms from the website (see "LUMINARIA SALES" on the left sidebar) or you can email Kris( Kris.Altman@cancer.org ) or Betsy ( betsy.craig@cancer.org ) three (3) days prior to your event and they can have copies preparred and waiting in the ACS office*.  When requesting forms, please make sure you designate the number of copies you will need.   
 
CANNED GOODS NEEDED
 
Instead of using sand in the Luminaria bags, this year we are planning on using canned (human and pet) goods  to weight down the bags.  Small tuna sized cans will work best.  After the event, select food pantries and pet rescues will be gathering the canned food and providing to those in need.  For those that are not aware, we will have close to 1,000 (if not more) Luminaria in the stands to create the word "HOPE".  (You can see a picture of this by clicking to the left on the "LUMINARIA SALES" tab on the left sidebar).  We will also need additional Luminaria to circle the track.  Canned goods can be brought to any Team Parties or dropped off at the ACS office* between now and the event day.
 
 
RFL BANNER LOAN
 
We have several "small" but excellent grommeted banners that can be borrowed [no more than 3 days in advance] for your team event(s). Please be mindful that there are a limited amount and we will need them returned the next weekday after your event. We have many teams requesting the banners so please contact Kris Altman as soon as possible to "reserve" one.
