Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks unite communities behind the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives from breast cancer. Making Strides of Boston reflects its own community, here's what you can expect at our 25th Anniversary event:.

Check-In Opens

Check-In & Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

If you have registered online:

Check in is simple if you've already signed up online, please stop by the online check-in side of the Registration tent  only if you have  additional cash/check donations to turn in. If you have no donations to turn in you can begin the walk.

If you have not registered online:

Please come to the registration side of the tent to complete a paper registration form or to turn in your completed form along with any donations. Once the form is filled out and complete, you can begin the walk.



Opening Ceremony

Ribbon Cutting

Come together with survivors, caregivers, men and women from all walks of life who are passionate about saving lives from breast cancer. Celebrate your shared efforts. Inspire each other to carry on. And take comfort in the knowledge that because of your dedication, no one walks alone. There  will be a ribbon cutting at the Start Line beginning at approximately 7:45 A.M. to commemorate 25 years of saving lives.

Commemorate the day by taking a photo on our Giant Pink Strides Chair sponsored by Siemens! A donation of $5 per individual or group accepted. 



Walk Begins

Rolling Start from 8 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

The Making Strides of Boston, our 2 mile (short route)  or 5.5 mile (full route)  noncompetitive walk begins with a rolling start. Be sure your team gathers at the start line prior to the rolling start .

For Survivors And Caregivers

Survivor check-in:

Survivors,  should check in at the Registration tent only if they have donations to pass in.If  you have not registered online pre walk day, please visit the Registration tent  to fill out a walk paper.  

Survivor Tent:

The survivor area is a special area for survivors and the caregivers attending with them. We include both survivors and caregivers to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. You'll find important information about American Cancer Society programs and services geared specifically for you. Survivors are encouraged to visit the Survivor tent to pick up a gift and check in to be eligible for our survivor raffle.



Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events raise money for an important cause. But that doesn't mean they aren't meant to be fun. So don't miss the entertainment! Join us at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for live entertainment on the stage. We welcome some new acts as well as invited some fan favorites to share in the day!

After The Walk

We all walk together, but our event is not a race. Stop whenever you want or need to. You absolutely do not need to complete the entire walk if you are unable. Upon finishing the walk, please join us for entertainment and water. The walk concludes when the final walker crosses the finish line.

Welcome to our Team Page. We’ve formed a team because this cause is important to us. We want to help. And walking and raising money in our local American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is the best way we can do that. We all have different reasons for participating but we share a determination to help save lives from breast cancer.

There are so many ways that the money our team raises helps. It’s helping fund innovative research. It’s providing free information for people dealing with the disease. It’s providing rides to treatment and places to stay for people who have to seek treatment far from home. In short, our money is helping save lives. Consider donating to our team and helping advance the cause.

How We Support the American Cancer Society

Of course we walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. And we solicit donations from family, friends, and other supporters. But we also schedule fundraisers in lead-up to the big event. Bake-sales, car washes, and countless other types of events. And we promote those on social media, through Facebook and Twitter, by word of mouth, and through flyers at work and around the neighborhood. The success of fundraising events depends on two things - hard work and getting the word out. And we're out to do both. Keep an eye out for our fundraising events.
