Relay For Life Wants YOU!

Mardi Gras is a day of feast and celebration prior to the fasting period of Lent.  Traditionally, it was a day to use up all meat products that would not be eaten during Lent.   This year, the Relay For Life Team of Kingman has chosen it as the theme for our Event which will take place Saturday May 13th at Kingman High School from noon until midnight. There will be continuing entertainment during the Event.  As of this writing, the Briana Payne Band, The Swillers, Chris Commisso, Monkey Biznezz, Angel & The Hit Men, KP&R Dance Divas, and DJ Jeremiah have committed to perform, as well presentations by the Beale Street Theater and possibly the Kingman High School Band.  If you have suggestions for entertainment, contact Dave Morphew at 928-757-0204.

Last year, the American Cancer Society provided services to 247 Mohave County residents.  What kind of services?  Everything, including but not limited to, general information, health insurance assistance, transportation assistance, lodging for the patients and caregivers when traveling for treatment, wigs and/or non-wig head coverings, and much, much more.

At, as well as leading up to, each Relay For Life Event, fund raising is conducted by our Teams.  Each Team has a booth/campsite, at which their funding raising continues.  The Teams decorate their booths to reflect the theme.   Teams are composed of volunteers who are dedicated to raising money to help in the fight against cancer.  ANYONE can start a team.  Contact Dannie Winget at 928-279-3354 or Cecelia Clouser at 928-530-7718, or come to our next team captains meeting on May 10th, at 6PM at the Kingman High School (North campus).  We look forward to meeting you and having you join the Relay For Life Team
