Our Reason to Relay
MY REASON TO RELAY
We began Donna's Dream Team after our Mother was diagnosed with Metastatic
Adenocarcinoma of the Pancreas and Liver in February 2012.
This year we relay with a different mindset. Our Strong Warrior Momma was called to her Heavenly home April 14th of this year after fighting strong for two years and two months.
God had blessed us with a Strong Warrior, My Momma. She fought this nasty battle each and every day with courage and grace until the very end.
Our home and lives have been changed forever. She lived with us for many years so while we are feeling a hole in our hearts and home, we are reminded of the lessons she taught us. She taught us to love unconditionally, find joy in every day no matter what it brings and to place the needs of other before our own.
We WILL Relay to CONTINUE THE FIGHT!
Think about the reasons you would Relay. Do you know someone who is in a fight for their life, newly diagnosed, lost their battle with this horrible disease? Perhaps you relay in honor of those who have fought and won the battle. No matter what your reason to Relay. Your time spent at Relay will be well worth the effort.
I am participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life
because I want to make a meaningful difference in the fight against
Almost everyone has been touched by cancer either through their own
personal battle or through someone they love.
Every day the American Cancer Society is helping us stay well by
preventing cancer or finding it at its earliest most treatable
stages. They assist families in finding the best resources to help
their friend or loved one deal with a diagnosis and their journey to
get well. The American Cancer Society is also rallying communities
(like ours!) through events like Relay For Life to fight back and
find cures for this disease.
Please JOIN OUR TEAM or make a donation to help the American Cancer
Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Together
we can help make sure that cancer never steals another year of
