We are members of AllRecipes.com, an internet site for the sharing of recipes by submitting recipes for publication, exchanging recipes and blogging about our cooking experiences as well as other life circumstances. Although AllRecipes.com does not support nor sanction our participation in this event (nor any other event) it is the common ground that brings us to Relay for Life of Liberty, MO.

In the word "AiR" in our team name, you'll be taken by the upper case R where there shouldn't be one. Well, that and the "A" are the initials for AllRecipes. The lower case "i" resembles the spoon in the AllRecipes logo.

So, how did friends get into the air? Seemingly, that's how we communicate when we are not together or, it is the virtual reality that is the internet. We have come together as flesh and blood friends with a common purpose, to do whatever we can to bring down the legion forms of this horrific disease. Also, we come together for deeply personal reasons, too. We may have fought cancer as a patient, been a caregiver, suffered the loss of a loved one or any combination of these.

The single cause that brings us together is to increase awareness to the fact that nobody is immune from cancer. Cancer is not a fight, it is a war that can only be won through self awareness and well funded research.
