Ben Silver: WHO IM PARTICIPATING FOR 

            My father Marc Silver (Tufts Graduate 1986) passed away from colon cancer on November 15th, 2012.

WHY I RELAY 

            The American Cancer Society is a wonderful organization that I am proud to support. During my visits to see my father at Northern Westchester Hospital, an American Cancer Society representative checked in frequently to provide any kind of help or service that my family needed.  I was thankful for the ACS and have since learned more about the impact they have on the lives of cancer patients and their families.

            My dad taught me to live a life of meaning and action. Leading this Relay for Life team at Tufts and raising money to treat and cure cancer are some of the ways I can honor and remember my father, whose love and selflessness made a difference in the world.
