Coach Brey's Mission

Coach Mike Brey was named the 17th head coach at the University of Notre Dame on July 14, 2000.   He was the recipient of the 2003 Coaches vs. Cancer Champion Award in recognition of his fund-raising efforts for the Coaches vs. Cancer Program. Coach Brey is a member of the CVC National Council and has raised more than $1,600,000 along with his wife Tish for the CVC Program in the   South Bend/Michiana region. The couple received the Distinguished Service Award for the Michiana  area in 2006 and the 2007 March of Dimes Franklin D. Roosevelt Award.

Coach Brey is a member of the CVC National Council and has raised more than $1,600,000 along with his wife Tish for the CVC Program in the South Bend/Michiana region. Coaches vs. Cancer Suits & Sneakers
This unique fundraising challenge brings coaches, players, and fans together. Fans offer support in their workplace for the fight against cancer by raising funds just by wearing their sneakers to work while combining employee contributions with corporate matching gifts.  A great and fun way to team build in your company. Night of the Stars
Join us on Friday, August 2, 2013 for a fun and relaxed open house event to honor three of our local citizens who in their daily lives give of themselves through time and effort to fight the battle against cancer. Click Here for More Information

Golf Auction
The live and silent auction will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013. Featuring one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia and experiences, this event was a must attend for the sports fan! Click Here for More Information

Notre Dame Golf Classic
The Golf Classic 4-person scramble will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2013. Fantastic team favors, prizes, contests, and an awards dinner reception are included. More than just a golf outing, this annual event is a fun golf experience like none other in the area. Click Here for More Information

 Crop For a Cure
This scrap and stamp event is the newest Coaches vs. Cancer event. Held in the Fall at Waterford Estates Lodge each year, this event promises to be a great time to gather with friends and share scrapbooking ideas, shop local vendors, and attend creative workshops.  Stay tuned for more details or call your local American Cancer Society at 574.257.9789.

Night of Lights
Join us for the Coaches vs. Cancer Night of Lights: an evening of hope and remembrance on Thursday, August 9 at Heritage Square in Granger. Now through August 9th, visit participating Martin's Super Market Stores and other Heritage Square merchants to purchase your luminaria bags for just a $5 donation with proceeds benefiting your American Cancer Society. The lumanaria bags will be used to line the streets of Heritage Square to light the walking path for of our Night of Lights Event. Then plan to visit Heritage Square on August 9th from 5pm - 9pm for food specials, carriage rides, Bonnie Doon ice-cream, live music, and the luminaria walk beginning at dusk. 

Radiothon
A two-day (August 2 & 3) on-air fundraising and awareness radio event held on the four WSBT Radio Group stations, Sunny 101.5, WSBT 960AM, Oldies 94.3, and Real Country 99.9.  Listeners are encouraged to join Mike Brey's cancer fighting team by calling 1-888-282-Cure.
