Together, we are making a difference!

On August 11th, the first of hopefully many installments of the Core/Demo event will be held in Chicago, IL at the Elastic Arts Theater. It will feature a variety of entertainment including music and dancing. There will even be a silent auction with items from video games to classic comic memorabilia donated by our generous sponsers and all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

This charity, and far too few like it, have a special place in my heart. Shortly after my wife and I were married in 2011, my mother revealed to me that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She waited until after we'd returned from our honeymoon as she didn't want to spoil the big day. After the news spread our family rallied around her, and did our best to make sure she's taken care of so she can continue her battle and concentrate on getting better. As she continues, we'd like to take a moment to show appreciation for the charities that helped (and continue to help) us through motivation, education, and more. 

Understanding that everyone can't attend that would like to, we've set up this alternative to donate directly to the American Cancer Society.
