My Reason to Relay

My interest in Relay For Life is based primarily on finding cures for the insidious and indiscriminate nature of the family of diseases know as cancer. Secondarily, I think that it is extremely honorable that Relay For Life recognizes those who have suffered the effects of this disease. My sensitivity to the effects of cancer was greatly heightened when a wonderful lady that I worked with was stricken. Her positive attitude through treatment and recovery was truly inspirational.


My willingness to serve as an event chair is based on the scripture from Luke 12:48 which states in part, “from everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” I consider myself to be richly blessed and know that I can never do enough in return for what I have been given.
