My Reason to Relay

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is more than just an event to me. It is my personal opportunity to help save lives from cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society.

My grandma Lois passed away from Breast Cancer is 2007.  She was 62.  She was a survivor for many years but unfortunately the cancer returned.  She was very passionate about cancer awareness and the Relay for Life.  It is my hope that I can continue to carry the torch for her and help support and raise money for cancer awareness. Somewhere she is looking down on me and very proud.  I love and miss her so much. 

I have walked in the Relay for Life since 2004.  The year 2010 will be my first year as a team captain with my own team.  I am very eager, excited, and proud of this moment.  I hope we become a team that people will remember!
