My Reason to Relay

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is more than just an event to me. It is my personal opportunity to help save lives from cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society.

It's amazing to think that millions of people will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Somebody close to us may be one of them.

But, by taking part in Relay, I am helping the American Cancer Society save lives by:

Helping people stay well by helping them take steps to prevent cancer or detect it early, when it’s most treatable
Helping people get well by being in their corner around the clock to guide them through every step of their cancer experience
Finding cures by funding groundbreaking research that helps us understand cancer’s causes, determine how best to prevent it and discover new ways to cure it
Fighting back by working with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communities worldwide to join the fight

My Challenge to You.
Each year, 1.4 million new cancer cases are diagnosed, and nearly 600,000 Americans are killed by the disease. But we can end that. Between now and Spring, I will be working to raise funds for Relay for Life, an event sponsored by the American Cancer Society. My goal right now is $1000, but I would LOVE to see that surpassed. So, I am asking you, if you are able, to give what you can. If it means $5, then that is AMAZING. If it means $20, then that is AMAZING, if it means $100, then that is AMAZING. Catch my drift? We are all in this together and each one of us has the opportunity to make a difference. I realize times are tough, so if you cannot donate this year, I completely understand. Whether or not you donate, I ask that you please post this page's URL on your Facebook page and encourage others to donate as well. With your help, we can win, with your help, we can beat cancer! But it's all hands on deck, and I am going to need all the help I can get. Thank you so much, God Bless, and I KNOW this is a challenge that we can tackle together.
