Making Justin #1 Fundraiser!
Justin McJilton always had many reasons to relay. He was heavily involved during his time at Salisbury University.
After surviving a recent battle with leukemia in 2006 Justin lost his fight on October 10, 2009. In 2009 Justin was the #2 top fundraiser coming really close to being #1 top fundraiser. His goal was to be #1 and our goal this year is to make sure he wins.
Please join us in making this dream become a reality in his memory.
As his bff for the last several years, I (ashley heffernan) had the pleasure of getting to know Justin better than I have ever known another person. He was a truly amazing man and it would mean a lot to me if you could donate, even just a few dollars.
Maria Jensen and myself though an important way to honor Justin was to create this relay account and make sure we win #1 Fundraiser in his memory.
Maria and I both want to thank everyone who gives money, or buys one of the shirts we are selling! But we would especially like to thank Justin's family for being so supportive of our goal to reach HIS goal; particularly Justin's sisters, Jaira and Kaylin who are simply amazing. We are so glad they have taken this project of ours and helped to run with it. Justin's parents and extended family have all been amazing and I am so thankful for them everyday that they are there not only for relay fundraising but as an amazing support for everyone as we try learn to live without Justin.
Without Kaylin, Jaira, Justin's oldest (and one of his closest!) friend Priscilla, his good friend John and many others there is no way we could be doing as well as we are with fundraising.
Anyway, thanks for giving. The American Cancer Society is amazing and every dollar and cent counts. I look forward to seeing Justin stay as top fundraiser and end the fundraising season that way!!!

As of November 17th, eighteen unique donors have given. I am blown away.
This is not to count the 2 checks I have here to mail-- so 20 people!! And shirt sales, so a ton more people who realize the importance of remember Justin.
One of my Aunts donated yesterday and her message mentioned how great he was. When my extended family met Justin last year, my aunts immediately fell in love. He was so charming and funny and a joy to be around always. The same with my Grandparents, they were totally enthralled by him and still have a picture of he and I on their fridge. This just speaks to what a great and influential person he was. Someone could spend only a day or a few short days with him and recognize just how truly wonderful he was.
The point is that it means so much to me and many other people (his family, my family, our friends) to have so many people supporting this cause.
I don't think either Maria or I thought that so many people would donate, or that so many others would want to help. The support from Justin's family and some of his friends has been great. My heart melts with each dollar we raise!
