My Reason to Relay

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is more than just an event to me. It is my personal opportunity to help save lives from cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society.

It's amazing to think that millions of people will be diagnosed with cancer this year. And even more difficult to think about when one of these people are close to us. For this reason I am relaying for my Aunt Kathy. She may not live near the area I am relaying; but I know my efforts here will ultimately help her, and others all over the world who are battling this disease. I encourage everyone to support the cause too! Let's fight back!

RELAY U
Today was the Relay U Conference of the South Atlantic Division. It took place at Virginia Tech. This was the first conference I have ever attended, and I thought it was a major success. All of the relayers who went learned valuable information about Relay for Life and how to become better fundraisers. There was a meaningful and emotional ceremony of everyone giving their reasons for relaying. And after this, I have never been more motivated to raise money to help such a great cause. Cancer does not discriminate and at some point in your lifetime you will in some way be affected by cancer. Please support my efforts now to try to cure this disease! Together we can make a difference.
