My Reason to Relay

My reason to Relay is to try to help find a cure for this horrible disease. I was diagnosed on Jan. 13, 2006 with breast cancer. I underwent surgery and then chemo. I was blessed that it was found before it had spread to my lymp nodes. Even though I say I am cancer free, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't wonder if or when it will return. Because of events like this, we can find a cure! Please help join us as we attempt to make the Bay Area relay #1 again this year! Also, please check out our fundraisers. First Fundraiser-Oct. 17th
Well we are underway here. We are having our first fundraiser this Sat., Oct. 17th. We are hosting a Sock Hop at the Baytown Community Center, 2407 Market St. The doors will open at 6:30pm. Music will be provided by The Oldies and The Goodies. We will be having several contests that night...Best 50's Attire, a dance contest, hula hoop contest, bubble blowing contest and a singing contest. There will be raffles and a pink ribbon gift shop. We will also be selling event tshirts, which say
"I Be-Bopped at the Sock Hop to Help Find a Cure". They are really really cute! So, come out and join us. Tickets are $15 for adult and $10 for children 3-12. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society!
