My Reason to Relay

All of us must be active in seeking some kind of hope, sense, and order beneath the chaos of cancer. Dr. Centola wrote in 2006, “Life is chaos, but the challenge that confronts humanity is the incessant struggle…to peer beneath the appearance of disorder and find in what seems to be chaos the ultimate beauty that unifies seemingly random and incongruous things and experiences.” Dr. Centola has said many times that this kind of quest is “entirely within the realm of the possible,” and the Relay for Life is our team’s arena to prove, in our teacher’s memory, that life is not just meaningless chaos, but according to Dr. Centola, “ultimately amazingly beautiful and full of possibilities.”
