My Reason to Relay

I Relay because I want to see an end to cancer during my lifetime. Relay gives me the unique opportunity to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission by fighting back against a disease that has already taken too much.

The photo to the right is my Dad and I, we were going through cancer treatments at the same time. Sadly my Dad lost his long battle to prostate cancer, on April 10,2006. Before his death, he lost his Mother, 4 Brothers & 3 Sisters all to cancer. So you can see why I have taken a stand to FIGHT BACK against this awful disease. We formed our Team FAMILY TIES, that year , after Dad's passing. Our team raised over $10,000.00 last year and we have pledged to do it all over again.
