The American Cancer Society knows how hard our committed Relay volunteers work to create meaningful and memorable Relay For Life events for thousands of Relay participants throughout New England. They raise both awareness of cancer issues and millions of dollars that help save lives everyday and help ease the burden of patients and caregivers.
These volunteers do this on top of working full-time jobs, raising families, carrying a full course load in college, caring for loved ones with cancer, and in many cases fighting cancer. In many ways they are unsung heroes. So, in an effort to shine the spotlight on them if only for a moment, the American Cancer Society and its New England Division have created some annual awards. They are:
