My Reason to Relay

I Relay because I want to see an end to cancer during my lifetime. Relay gives me the unique opportunity to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission by fighting back against a disease that has already taken too much.

My personal story... Between May and November of 2008 my grandfather, great aunt, and great uncle's girlfriend all lost the fight against cancer. I was hoping in 2009 cancer would leave my family alone, but it doesn't look to good so far.

Your efforts will help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking cancer research, provide up-to-date cancer information, advocate for all people to have access to screening and treatment, and offer free programs and services to improve the quality of life for people facing cancer. I just want one!
I just want one cancer free year!
September 24th I was informed that two more family members have been diagnosed with cancer. One has Leukemia and the other liver cancer.
