My Reason to Relay
I Relay in honor and remembrance of my dad, Don Gibson. He passed away in May of 2003 of an incurable brain tumor. I want to raise money to help find a cure so that no other daughter should have to loose her father to the same disease that took my daddy from me.
Another reason I Relay is that cancer has touched my second family here at Adams Middle School. Numerous faculty members have been affected by this horrible plague. One day I want to see and end to this tragic and sometimes fatal disease.
Relay gives me the unique opportunity to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission by fighting back against a disease that has already taken too much.
Please support my efforts to fight back against cancer by making a donation or joining my Relay For Life® team.
Your efforts will help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking cancer research, provide up-to-date cancer information, advocate for all people to have access to screening and treatment, and offer free programs and services to improve the quality of life for people facing cancer. By being a part of Relay, we are joining a worldwide movement to help defeat cancer for future generations.
