My Reason to Relay

The Reason to Relay is to join people around the world in celebrating those who have survived cancer, remembering the people we've lost, and supporting the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society.

This is my 5th Relay. I participate in honor of my mother Doris, who lost her battle with lung cancer 19 years ago and to so many of my friends and colleages who have lost loved ones this past year.

Our Team, started two years with the Girl Scouts and is now a part of Beethoven Elementary School.  Last year we had the largest number of participants at Relay, over 35, and our team raised over $3,500. 

This year we are planning to see many more school teams.  In addition the the Beethoven Bears, there will be teams from Mark Twain Middle School, Venice High School and we hope Palms Middle School as well as the surrounding elementary schools.   Everyone is welcome to join one of our team or start one of your own.
