Welcome to My Donation Page
My Reason to Relay Hi everyone! This is my fourth year participating in Relay For Life at UCLA, and I can honestly say it is the single most meaningful event I've yet encountered. I'm always looking for some way to get more involved and push us a little further in the fight against cancer. This year marks my first year on the Colleges Against Cancer National Executive Council, as the Survivorship chair, and my term as the Relay Growth Chair at UCLA. There are so many amazing things to be accomplished this year, and I'm so thrilled to be a part of it all.
This may be my last year at UCLA, but I can confidently say that it will never be my last Relay. Last year I donate my hair for the first time, and while it took a few days to get my feet under me (and to learn how to style so little hair!!) it was incredibly rewarding, and I'm looking forward to when I can donate it again next!
With all the ups to celebrate from the past year, I want to be sure to remember some of our reasons to Relay. This year, specifically, I will be Relaying for my friend Shannon, who recently lost her fight with malignant melanoma. She was such a vibrant person, and she will forever be one of my reasons to Relay.
So this Relay season, please join me in my fight back against cancer. Donations to my Relay page are tax deductible, and the money goes towards research, education, advocacy, and service in the fight against cancer! Here at UCLA we're so lucky that a lot of the money raised is reinvested in research that our campus is conducting- how's that for getting a real bang for your buck??
