The 2009 Relay For Life of Second Life was the biggest and best event yet! There were over 120 teams registered for the RFLofSL, with more than 1,900 participants walking and interacting on 36 sims. It is never too late to become involved in fundraising for this event. If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society through the 2010 Relay For Life of Second Life, please contact MamaP Beerbaum in Second Life.
There are specific fundraising guidelines and approved donation kiosks that must be used. You will be equipped with the necessary tools and information to become a successful fundraiser in the fight against cancer. Don't wait until it's too late, you can host events any time of the year so sign up now!
Teams raise money during the months leading up to the actual Relay For Life event. Many teams host several fundraisers (not just one) to try to raise as much money as they can. The fundraisers should be fun for all who participate. The most successful teams are the ones when all team members participate! So, get your friends and form a team today!
