My Reason to Relay

I Relay because I want to see an end to cancer during my lifetime. Relay gives me the unique opportunity to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission by fighting back against a disease that has already taken too much.

This year, I relay in memory of Momcat Catriona, Ayana and Steven, who have crossed over;  and in honor of those fighting the good fight, Aine, Saria and my own mother.  Also, in honor of caregivers everywhere, who give of their own lives for the help and comfort of loved ones. 

The Relay For Life® of Second Life® is the largest fundraiser in the virtual world and a unique opportunity for participants to take part in the Society's signature event.  Traditionally an event based on the local community, the RFLofSL extends the Relay experience to the online community.  Learn more at RFLofSL.org.
