Our 8th Annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Snoqualmie Valley was a huge success!We beat our goal of $105,000 by several thousand dollars by the end of the night and the total is still climbing. Thank you to the Snoqualmie Valley for the tremendous generosity and support! See photos from our Relay - We will be updating totals over the next couple of weeks and we are taking donations up until August 31st for our event. There are several fundraisers that are still scheduled. Team captains wrap up, Tuesday July 28th, Centennial Field 6:30 Thank you to our Survivors & Caregivers all your inspiration & helping us kick off our Relay! Second Annual "Got Hair? Wanna Share?" Event Thank you to all those that generously donated their hair for this event. A special Thank you to Jolene Kelly of Jolene's Hair and Skincare for donating her time and services so that the event could be possible. We had 11 participants donate at the event and some people dropped off their ponytails. We ended up with 17 ponytails. Jeb of the Mt. Si Key Club offered to get a Mohawk if people would donate enough money to the Relay. $182.01 was raised and he is now sporting a great new look. This is an annual event that Marika Loudenback started last year and she has committed to chair it again next year. See the "Got Hair? Wanna Share" Link for more info. Fundraising Events Open Mic At Mike's Bike Night with Jeff Warren and Friends every Wednesday night through August for the Relay for Life. The musicians will be raising money for the Relay for Life and Mike's will donate 25% of the sales burgers specials on Wednesday evenings to the American Cancer Society. Bring an Instrument and play or just come for the music, good food and support the Snoqualmie Valley Relay for Life! The Mount Si High School Key Club has come up with a great fundraiser "Paws For a Cause" to support our Snoqualmie Valley Relay For Life. More info: Flyer Check out the latest news! Between September 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009, Relay For Life® communities nationwide are hosting special “Show Us Your HOPE” activities that visually depict the passion Relayers have for the fight against cancer. Ideally, these activities are separate from Relay For Life® events and demonstrate how the American Cancer Society in our community celebrates survivors, remembers loved ones lost and fights back against cancer through Relay For Life®.
