Relay For Life of Anacortes

Team Malson-Wooding

Dear Friends & Family,

Lisa along with her mom, Kaaren Malson, formed our first Relay for Life Team in 1998 and have once again decided to do our 6th year of Relay. Our first year we started out with over 20 team members, over the years it has dwindled down to about 7. With your help and contributions our team has raised over $100,000 in our years of participation. We are known as the "easy going team" as each member raises money however they want, we try to make it enjoyable for everyone. Team Malson-Wooding has been the top fundraising team in Anacortes for 5 years and one of the top teams for the Western Division for 5 years.

I can't thank those who have contributed to my letter campaign enough, I have raised over $32,000 myself, and through donations at my store. I have had to cut back on some of my extra fundraising due to my own health.

On our team we have some survivors and last year we lost a team member/family member to cancer.I found out a very close friend from childhood, and only 4 months older than me was diagnosed with cancer, I was devastated I hope to hear one day that a cure has been found for all forms of cancer and there will be no more suffering or deaths from this horrible disease.

If are able and would be willing to donate to Relay for Life I would greatly appreciate it. I know we are still feeling the effects of the economy and understand if you can not donate this year. Your donations, no matter the amount, are greatly appreciated by me, our team and Anacortes Relay for Life.

Sincerely,

Lisa Wooding.
