"Patty's Pals"

In March 2005, my sister Patty was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML).  During her hospitalization, Patty began treatment with Gleevec Therapy.  Gleevec is an oral chemotherapeutic agent that Patty will need to take every day of her life to battle leukemia.  Cheers to Patty! who on March 23rd, celebrated 10 years as a cancer survivor.

This year will mark our 10th year as team “Patty’s Pals”. More and more people are surviving cancer every day.  We are confident that our efforts help raise awareness and make a difference in the fight against cancer.

Our team relays to support the American Cancer Society Relay for Life philosophy that represents hope, to support our family and friends who are currently battling cancer, to honor those surviving cancer for their amazing strength and courage, and to honor the legacy of those we have lost.

By supporting our efforts again this year, your donations

  • Are helping us find cancer’s causes and cures through groundbreaking research,
  • Help discover new ways to prevent cancer or find it at its earliest, most treatable stage and help people take steps to stay healthy,
  • Allow us to do the most to help people with cancer today,
  • Help fight cancer as much through public policy as in the laboratory
