Relay For Life of Decatur Township 2018

Papaw's Posse

Papaw's Posse was created at the beginning of 2016 when Papaw (my dad) was diagnosed and battling stage 4 small cell lung cancer. He one day mentioned his grandkids being his "Posse" so that's how we created our name. My dad passed away due to the cancer in November of 2016. He was able to join our team for the first year but now we continue to do it in memory of him and for all those that need our help in raising money and awareness.

Relay for life event is a one of a kind event where those touched by cancer come together. We set up booths around the high school track and sell things to raise money, do activities, music and much much more. We take turns walking around the track to symbolize that cancer doesn't stop so we don't stop fighting the fight. We have events scheduled throughout the day, a luminaria, survivor luncheon, to name a few. Everyone is welcome to start a team, join a team, come to the event, donate money..whatever you choose to do to contribute. We will have fundraisers throughout the year to go toward our final goal of money raised for ACS as well.

Please join us now! We can't wait to see what kind of difference we can make for 2018. It's going to be an exciting event!
