Relay For Life of Palm Desert

Team Body Mind Soul

Welcome to our team page! We are all about bringing awareness to treating cancer as a whole through body, mind, and soul aspects of our daily lives and in our environment. We feel that by combining the best of both Western and Eastern approaches to healthcare and our environment that ones quality of life can be positively impacted.

A Special Thank You to our Sponsors:

Luscious Lorraine's Organic Juice & Eatery

Desert Ashtanga Yoga @ Yoga Center Palm Desert

We are looking for sponsors who represent the alternative and environmental health aspects of our lives and planet earth. We want to showcase the companies that are bringing our community easy access to overall health and wellness, and making a difference in the lives of those impacted by cancer.

As a team, we are taking action to help eliminate cancer as a major health problem as well as altering the way we live our daily lives to help protect us from cancer inducing practices. My name is Tiffany Romney, and I am the team captain. I have a rare and incurable form of blood cancer called T-cell LGL Leukemia, and have a history of Invasive Malignant Melanoma Skin Cancer.

My life has been greatly impacted by cancer. I was a caregiver in 2010-11 f
or my father who died in my arms after losing his life to bladder cancer. My paternal grandfather and maternal great-grandfather both died of cancer as well. My cousin also had malignant melanoma. I have countless friends who have survived cancer or are currently battling cancer, as well as their family members.

It is for these people that I love and the millions of others that I stand up and say that something must be done about this tragic disease. Even if for now we cannot ultimately save everyone, we can make a difference in their quality of life, and even in the lives of their caregivers.

Our Team Slogan: Body, Mind, and Soul, Treating Cancer as a Whole!
