Joliet West Students of Community Advocacy

Students of Community Advocacy (SoCA)began as an idea in 2012 after my father passed away from stage 4 Pancreatic and Colon cancer. With only a handful of students and hope, the team contnued to grow where we were able to raise over $13,000 in four years. Additionally, this past yearwe raised over $5,000 in just a few short months. We relay not only for hope andto find a cure, but we relay to spread awareness as cancer can affect anyone at anytime. During this year, the SoCA group made over 45 chemo care bags to handout at local treatment facilities to help those with the comfort of home. Please visit our website: www.JTWestSoCA.weebly.com for more information on the group and activities.
