Celebrate Hope Banner

On August 19 and 20, the Mall of America will be transformed into a celebration of the Relay For Life movement and the impact we are making in saving lives and celebrating hope.  The American Cancer Society Relay For Life and Mall of America want to share the stories of compassion, determination, and courage that inspire progress and hope. At the event, 50,000 dedicated stars representing 50,000 cancer stories will come together as one in an inspirational art creation.  Each star costs $10, and the money will be credited to your event fundraising total!

Here is how the Stars will be displayed:

Healthy Eating and Active Living

Our environments – where we live, work, learn, shop, and play – have a big influence on what we eat and how active we are. Many Americans – adults and kids alike – live in environments that make it harder to choose healthy foods and be physically active. Find out what factors influence healthy eating and active living.

Motivation Monday:

"The names of the patients whose lives we save can never be known...our contribution will be what did not happen to them, and though they are unknown, we will know that mothers and fathers are at graduations and weddings they would have missed, and that grandchildren will know grandparents they might never have known, and holidays will be taken, and work completed, and books read, and symphonies heard, and gardens tended that, without our work, would never have been."
-Donald M. Berwick, M.D. M.P.P

Make an impact in the fight against cancer by joining the
American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN)

Click on the logo above to watch a video!

ACS CAN is the nation’s leading cancer advocacy organization that is working every day to make cancer issues a national priority.

Many of the most important decisions about cancer are made outside of your doctor’s office. Instead, they are made by your state legislature, in Congress and in the White House. ACS CAN empowers regular people to be part of the growing national movement that is fighting back against cancer.

ACS CAN, the nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society, is holding lawmakers accountable for their words and their actions. We demand that our leaders not only talk about fighting cancer but take real steps toward decreasing the number of people suffering and dying from cancer.

Hope Lodge Bracelet

Hope Lodge Hawaii is under construction and scheduled to open November 2016!

Hope Lodge will offer cancer patients a FREE place to stay when their best hope for effective cancer treatment may be in Honolulu.  This 20-room facility will offer a nurturing, home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others in the shared kitchen, dining room, living rooms, and garden.

Relay For Life participants in 2016 have an opportunity to contribute to the construction campaign to help build Hope Lodge in Honolulu for our family, friends, and colleagues on the neighbor islands and Guam.
