"Lights of Hope" at the U.S. Capitol

Did you know that you can purchase a Luminaria Bag for $10 and it can be displayed at the U.S. Capitol? The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACSCAN) is selling Luminaria Bags for a $10 donation that also gets you membership to ACSCAN so that you can stay in-the-know about the latest cancer advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and right here at home in Kentucky.

The "Lights of Hope" Ceremony will take place during the National Leadership Summit and Lobby Day in Washington DC on the evening of September 29th.  It’s a beautiful event with Lights of Hope bags in memory or honor of a loved one who has been touched by cancer, displayed around the reflecting pool in front of the U.S. Capitol.  A beautiful reminder to Congress to support ACSCAN issues!

You can purchase a special "Lights of Hope" Luminaria Bag by contacting Meredith Moody at meredith.moody@cancer.org or call/text her at 859-391-1227. She can mail you a bag that you can decorate yourself and send back to her to go to Washington D.C. Fill out the form by clicking here and mail in your $10 check (make payable to ACSCAN) to:

American Cancer Society

If you want to decorate your own bag, Meredith will need to know by September 18th.  More info about the "Lights of Hope" ceremony is at http://www.acscan.org/lightsofhope and you can also order online at this website (please let Meredith know if you order online!).
