Relay For Life Fundraising Club:

Hope Lodge Youtube Video:
This is one video you don’t want to miss!! Check out this link below for a great Hope Lodge story that was told at the National Relay For Life conference. This is just one of the many reasons Relay is so important! Please watch it. You won't regret it!
Looking to start fundraising efforts earlier this year? Here are a few great fundraisers we can help you with…
1. Football in the South & Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Tshirt Sales
This shirt is available for you to purchase and resell at retail price (25-50% is the recommended markup) for your fundraising efforts. You can provide all net proceeds to your local American Cancer Society Relay For Life or to support your team’s fundraising.
Teams would purchase the shirts directly from the vendor (see flyer) then it is recommended the team marks the price up by 25 to 50% (or whatever the team wants to do) to earn a profit that they can then gift to the American Cancer Society. The team would then turn in the profit raised to the local staff partner to credit their Relay For Life team online.

Remembering Grant Vosburgh:
In very sad news, this past month we lost a wonderful man, Grant, who touched so many in the Relay world!
We are heartbroken to share with you the passing of our dear friend and volunteer Grant Vosburgh. Grant had been battling cancer since 2012.
Many of us knew Grant through his endless volunteer work with Relay For Life. He began volunteering after his wife’s cancer diagnosis in 1996, and kept volunteering through his own diagnosis in 2012. He gradually took on more responsibility as a leadership volunteer, serving in a number of both Division and National Relay For Life volunteer roles. He was honored with the St. George National Award in 2009, and continued to volunteer, taking on new volunteer roles and sharing his and Robin’s story with Relay For Life audiences around the globe.
You can see Grant and Robin’s story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUl_A-oaZKg
He will perhaps be best remembered for his courage in the face of cancer. In his own words from the Relay For Life Nationwide Summit stage in 2015: “And among my greatest blessings, without a doubt, has been my 19-year involvement with Relay For Life. For the past two years, I’ve had a true sense of calm and confidence, and much of that from knowing that Relayers across the country – around the world, really, – passionate volunteers, and dedicated ACS staff are still out there, raising millions upon millions so researchers can keep knocking down barriers and connecting critical dots. That truly gives me an unflagging hope and I hope it does for a lot of cancer patients. Simply put, my history with Relay For Life has given me the greatest gift someone in my situation could possibly receive. Relay has taken away my fear of cancer.” Godspeed, Grant and we will forever be #grantstrong.
With Love and Remembrance,
