The annual Survivor Ice Cream Social will be held on Monday, April 18th from 6-7 p.m. This is a free Reception for Cancer survivors. Ice Cream and sweets will be provided and antendees will receive a free t-shirt. The event will be at the Feather River Senior Citizen's Assoc. at 1335 Myers St. Oroville.
Cancer survivors and caregivers will be joining Team Kelly RidgeRunners riding the big pink tow truck in the Feather Fiesta Parade on Saturday, May 7th. If you would like to participate by riding or walking alongside please wear your purple t-shirts or team shirts and comfortable shoes. The pink tow truck will be in the vicinity of 5th Avenue and Pomona before 10am. It would be nice if we had some walkers with purple buckets to try and get donations and to hand out flyers about our upcoming Relay for Life on Saturday, May 14th. We need to get the word out. Come out and support us in "painting the world purple."
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life movement is the world's largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer. It unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all. With the support of thousands of volunteers like you, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 500 lives a day. Please join us and take action against a disease that has taken too much!
