Welcome to 11th Annual Relay For Life
of Loyola University of Maryland
Relay For Life of Loyola University is tomorrow and we are so
excited to gather at Loyola University of Maryland to celebrate survivors,
remember those lost, and fight back against this disease.
Here are some VERY, VERY, VERY
Important Logistics Reminders:
NEW EVENT START TIME! Relay will begin at
3PM tomorrow and go for a full 12 hours, ending at 3AM! We ask that all participants stay for the
WHOLE duration! Why do we ask for such a big commitment of you and your
time? The emotionally charged, all-night event we loving call Relay,
creates lasting bonds between teams, friends, families and strangers. We
don’t just raise money for a good cause; we use mutual hope for a brighter
future in order to bring our community and communities across the globe
together in the fight against cancer. Staying over night symbolizes our
understanding that cancer never sleeps and neither will we until there is
a cure for this disease! Be sure to wear comfy clothes and shoes, there is
A LOT of walking!
Wish Upon A Cure, our Disney theme for
this year's event will be a part of not only our decorations but also
infused into our activities throughout the night! Be sure to show some
love by using #LoyoldMDRelay on facebook, instagram and
twitter and you will be posted to our tagboards that will be up during
DON'T FORGET YOUR CASH MONEY $$$$ There
will be TONS of AMAZING onsite fundraisers, raffle baskets, food and other
goodies at the event (Student swipe machines will also be available).
Please bring ALL donations you have
collected prior to the event for the American Cancer Society on Saturday.
We will have donation enevelopes for you to complete there.

to Jenkin's lot if you are coming from off campus to the event! Address of
the school: 4501 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD.
As posted earlier, online registration
will close at NOON today, Friday March 27th and reopen at 2:30PM at the
registration tables at Relay. The registration fee is $15 at the door on
Middle school aged and younger children do
NOT have to pay a registration fee BUT will still need to complete a
registation form for the event provided at the registration tables.
There is NO registration fee for our
cancer survivors! All survivors and their caregivers are welcome to attend
our Survivor Tea Party on the 4th Floor Programming Room
in Student Center from 1-3PM (prior to the start of Relay). If you know a
survivor that is coming who has not registered and would like to attend
the Survivor Tea Party, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The MileOne Car Raffle is back! The luxury
vehicle being raffled will make an appearance at this year's event and
there will also be a challenge running during the event to win an IPad! Be
on the lookout for more details at Relay.
In honor of Earth Hour taking place during
our event, we ask that all participants turn off all lights and ensure all
unnecessary appliances and electronics are unplugged prior to attending
Relay in their rescpective dorms, apartments, and houses.
American Cancer Society Relay For Life campus events serve as a powerful way for you to raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer, from helping people facing the disease in your community to ensuring cancer is a thing of the past for future generations. The Relay For Life movement features campus and community events that offer an opportunity to honor the cancer survivors in your life, promote how you can reduce your cancer risk, and raise money to help find a cure. Today, with the support of thousands of student volunteers, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 400 lives a day. And we won't stop until we end cancer once and for all!
