Welcome to 11th Annual Relay For Life

of Loyola University of Maryland

 RFL Disney

Relay For Life of Loyola University is tomorrow and we are so excited to gather at Loyola University of Maryland to celebrate survivors, remember those lost, and fight back against this disease.

Here are some VERY, VERY, VERY Important Logistics Reminders:

  • NEW EVENT START TIME! Relay will begin at 3PM tomorrow and go for a full 12 hours, ending at 3AM! We ask that all participants stay for the WHOLE duration! Why do we ask for such a big commitment of you and your time? The emotionally charged, all-night event we loving call Relay, creates lasting bonds between teams, friends, families and strangers. We don’t just raise money for a good cause; we use mutual hope for a brighter future in order to bring our community and communities across the globe together in the fight against cancer. Staying over night symbolizes our understanding that cancer never sleeps and neither will we until there is a cure for this disease! Be sure to wear comfy clothes and shoes, there is A LOT of walking!
  • Wish Upon A Cure, our Disney theme for this year's event will be a part of not only our decorations but also infused into our activities throughout the night! Be sure to show some love by using #‎LoyoldMDRelay on facebook, instagram and twitter and you will be posted to our tagboards that will be up during Relay!
  • DON'T FORGET YOUR CASH MONEY $$$$ There will be TONS of AMAZING onsite fundraisers, raffle baskets, food and other goodies at the event (Student swipe machines will also be available).
  • Please bring ALL donations you have collected prior to the event for the American Cancer Society on Saturday. We will have donation enevelopes for you to complete there.
  • Please follow the parking signs on campus to Jenkin's lot if you are coming from off campus to the event! Address of the school: 4501 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD.
  • As posted earlier, online registration will close at NOON today, Friday March 27th and reopen at 2:30PM at the registration tables at Relay. The registration fee is $15 at the door on Saturday.
  • Middle school aged and younger children do NOT have to pay a registration fee BUT will still need to complete a registation form for the event provided at the registration tables.
  • There is NO registration fee for our cancer survivors! All survivors and their caregivers are welcome to attend our Survivor Tea Party  on the 4th Floor Programming Room in Student Center from 1-3PM (prior to the start of Relay). If you know a survivor that is coming who has not registered and would like to attend the Survivor Tea Party, please reach out to
  • The MileOne Car Raffle is back! The luxury vehicle being raffled will make an appearance at this year's event and there will also be a challenge running during the event to win an IPad! Be on the lookout for more details at Relay.
  • In honor of Earth Hour taking place during our event, we ask that all participants turn off all lights and ensure all unnecessary appliances and electronics are unplugged prior to attending Relay in their rescpective dorms, apartments, and houses.

American Cancer Society Relay For Life campus events serve as a powerful way for you to raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer, from helping people facing the disease in your community to ensuring cancer is a thing of the past for future generations. The Relay For Life movement features campus and community events that offer an opportunity to honor the cancer survivors in your life, promote how you can reduce your cancer risk, and raise money to help find a cure. Today, with the support of thousands of student volunteers, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 400 lives a day. And we won't stop until we end cancer once and for all!
