Due to a large chance of rain and thunderstorms, we have decided to have our Relay for Life event this Friday, April 17th from 9 PM to 2 AM in Russell Gymnasium at Baylor University. We have worked closely with Baylor Emergency Services and Risk Management and have decided that this is the best decision to ensure that our event actually happens. The new address is 1428 S. 3rd Street in Waco, TX and there is free parking right outside of the facility.
TEAM CAPTAINS: You may check in between 8:30-9:00 PM and set up your campsites with any tables or chairs (tents are not needed, but you may set one up if you would like to).
This is our new entertainment schedule for the event (some activities may change):
9:00-9:20 PM: Opening Ceremony & Survivors/Caretakers Lap
9:30-10:30 PM: Pie-a-Professor & Haircutting Ceremony
10:30-11:00 PM: Luminaria Ceremony & Balloon Release
11:00-Midnight: Free Vitek’s BBQ & Guerrilla Troupe (improv comedy group)
12:15-12:45 AM: Donut Eating Contest
1:15-1:45 AM: ZUMBA
1:45-2:00 AM: Closing Ceremony & End of Kaplan Course Auction
*Other activities throughout the event will include games, chess tournaments, Super Smash Brothers tournaments, tug-o-war, giant JENGA, on-site fundraising with organizations, and more!*
Our committee is looking forward to an amazing event indoors and we can’t wait to fight back against cancer with all of you! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.

American Cancer Society Relay For Life campus events serve as a powerful way for you to raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer, from helping people facing the disease in your community to ensuring cancer is a thing of the past for future generations. The Relay For Life movement features campus and community events that offer an opportunity to honor the cancer survivors in your life, promote how you can reduce your cancer risk, and raise money to help find a cure. Today, with the support of thousands of student volunteers, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 400 lives a day. And we won't stop until we end cancer once and for all!
